FREE Safety Report Template

Often, Monthly Safety Reports we see generated for review only include lag indicators. Lag indicators are a measure of a company's incidents in the form of past statistics, such as incident frequency and severity. The problem with only reporting on lag indicators is it doesn’t allow managers to see if agreed controls are implemented and being adhered to.

Lead indicators will not only assist in risk management and preventing incidents, it will also help senior managers demonstrate due diligence and drive safety back throughout the organisation.

We have developed a free safety report template you can use to identify and record your WHS efforts. Simply fill out the form to download.

How Lead Indicators Should Be Reported On?

Each business will differ but proactive lead indicators could include;

  • Committee meets
  • Inductions for new employees
  • Number of toolbox/safety talks
  • High risk machinery maintenance
  • Safe work procedure adherence ratio
  • Number of workplace inspections

We all know reports are an effective way to organise, track and analyse several functions in your business.
